Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf posted on his Facebook Page “I was pleased to conduct an on-site assessment of the Kafinchiri Irrigation Project in Garko Local Government Area, a key initiative under our administration’s agricultural transformation drive.
The project, valued at N2.5 billion, is aimed at bolstering year-round farming, enhancing food security, and driving economic growth in the state.
My visit to the Kafinchiri Irrigation Project was part of my rural development tour, yesterday, highlighting it as a vital component of our efforts to promote continuous agricultural production in Kano State.
Similarly, I announced the revocation of the contract for the Garko Local Government five-kilometer road project due to the contractor’s failure to mobilise to the site. We will ensure that a new and reliable contractor would be appointed within a few days to ensure the project’s timely completion.
I also emphasised our commitment to establish a modern health facility in Garko town, aimed at bringing healthcare services closer to the people”
